Originally the Estate Sawmill supplying Eynsham Park Estate with all its timber and fencing we believe the sawmall was first opened in 1881 supplying the estate with timber and fencing materials from wood grown on the estate.

From  1971 to 1990 under the management of Geoff Thomas the Sawmill started to trade commercially.  During this time  Ray and David Thorne were employed by the Estate undertaking forestry and timber processing.  Upon Mr. Thomas retired in 1990 Ray and David along with Linda, Ray's Wife,  took over the running of the Sawmill.  Since 1990  we have continued to grow and expand the business and our range of goods and services.

The saws in the main sawmill building were originally powered by traction engine, the last engine to power the saws can still be seen at local steam fairs each summer such as the Bloxham Steam Fair near Banbury.

Electricity arrived in 1932 and powered  the Sager  circular saw  which is still in use whilst the large Stenner vertical bandsaw was installed in 1956.  Over the years a large Forestor horizontal  bandsaw was intalled, again still in use, with a large variety of saws, planers, tenoners and other woodcutting and machining equipment being added as our range of products continue to grow.
